Health News Illinois reported: Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul said Monday his office has reached a $20 million settlement with disposable vape company Posh over allegedly selling unauthorized flavored e-cigarettes and marketing them to youth.

Raoul sued the company in January 2025, accusing it of violating a state law that prohibits the sale of e-cigarettes unless the Food and Drug Administration has approved them for marketing and sale in the U.S.

Additionally, Posh advertised its products on social media platforms like Instagram in ways that Raoul’s office said were "attractive to young people.”

Along with the funds, the settlement prohibits Posh from selling, distributing or advertising e-cigarettes in Illinois unless and until its products obtain a marketing-granted order from the FDA.

“Today’s settlement ensures one of the most prolific vaping brands in Illinois will no longer sell unauthorized e-cigarettes with flavors that appeal to youth,” Raoul said. “I remain committed to working to protect our communities from the harms of illegal and unregulated e-cigarettes and will continue to hold companies accountable for targeting youth with their addictive products.”

Posh could not be reached for comment.
