For more than 20 years, and on a national scale, Rick Ferraro’s career has focused on providing healthcare systems, physician groups and investors with strategies and creative solutions related to their real estate, facilities, and associated ventures. Overall, he has over 35 years of real estate, corporate, and capital investment experience.

As Principal of the Ferraro Healthcare Advisory Group, Mr. Ferraro has served as a trusted advisor to health system decision makers and related investors, and as project leader in a variety of engagement capacities.

Previously, he was contracted by Huron Healthcare Consulting. Huron Healthcare is a market-leading, management consulting firm, whose primary focus includes performance improvement strategies for national healthcare systems.

Prior to joining Huron, Mr. Ferraro spent 11 years contributing to the growth of industry thought-leader, Lillibridge Healthcare Real Estate Trust, and led their Advisory Group, serving their health system clients, that included Northwestern Memorial, Detroit Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic, and many others. He also created a similar capability at Irgens Healthcare Facilities, while successfully identifying investment and service opportunities for the firm.

Rick actively maintains current insights as to healthcare industry trends, issues, and technologies. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and is a past Board Member, Treasurer and Finance Chair of ACHE’s largest chapter (2000 members), the Chicago Health Executives Forum (CHEF). He also served as a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), Education Committee.

Mr. Ferraro served as a long-time National Planning Committee member, panel leader, and past speaker of the BOMA National Healthcare Facilities and Medical Office Buildings Conference. Locally, he was a Suburban Chicago chapter Healthcare Facilities Steering Committee member and speaker.

Earlier career experience includes Cushman and Wakefield, Monsanto/G.D. Searle’s Global Pharmaceutical Group, and Arthur Andersen & Co.

Mr. Ferraro received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and his B.S. in Accounting from DePaul University. He subsequently earned a CPA designation.
