A former General Surgeon, and Anesthesiologist /Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at West Suburban Medical Center, Oak Park, Illinois. Currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Illinois @Chicago College of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois.
A national and international educator, trainer, and researcher of Resuscitation Science affiliated with the American Heart Association for more than three decades in different capacities including as a member of the International Committee and National Faculty.
Past President and current Chairman of the Chicago Medical Society Board of Trustees. A Past President of the Indian American Medical Association, Illinois.Founder of the Chicago Medical Society's Community CPR Awareness Project SMILE (Saving More Illinois Lives through Education).
Recipient of several national and international awards and recognitions including the Medal from US Congressmen and IOMC Global Humanitarian Award for outstanding contributions as a "Global Humanitarian" and "Global Champion of Resuscitation".
